Overview

Our Hosted IP PBX phone system offers variety of features and its benefits can be experienced without making huge investments. It is considered a convenient and economic telecommunication option for small business organizations, In order to manage your business calls in a proficient manner; the system is integrated with sophisticated features.

The system answers all the calls with professionally recorded welcome messages. It provides the callers a set of choices such as dial-by-name, dial-by-extensions and routes the calls to the appropriate department or workforce based on the option preferred by the callers.

Incoming calls can be efficiently directed to the other numbers, including cell phone numbers, you can manage your business from any location and still provide the callers with the idea that you are operating from your office, system automatically transfers the unattended calls to the voicemail box of the employees where the callers can leave voice messages.

You can communicate with all the employees operating from various geographical locations using a single phone number, rather easily. By using the system multiple calls can be managed at the same time. The system routes all calls without sending busy signals to the callers.

For enjoying the features of a hosted PBX system it is not necessary to purchase and maintain costly PBX equipment in your office. The equipment is maintained at our site and the PBX services are offered through a hosted server using high speed Internet or dedicated telephone connection.

Overview

Group3 is Toronto / Markham based, Canadian company, which has been providing VoIP services to local and international customers since 2001.

Group3 main focus is to provide VoIP wholesale and also business class IP PBX service. Group3 also provides a wide variety of hosted VoIP solutions including for those who are in wholesale termination or VOIP retail business, eg. IPPBX, phone cards, call back or call shop, etc …

Group3 also enjoys benefits of a powerful, fully redundant network infrastructure of its sister company Cirrus Tech. Ltd. ( www.cirrushosting.com / www.cirrusx.ca ).

Network Infrastructure:

Cirrus Tech. Ltd.’s network has been engineered from the ground up to accommodate the high-availability demands of the internet’s most popular websites. Operating via private peering connections and public Network Access Points, our expansive, redundant network was designed to offer a forward-thinking alternative to the existing network options. We utilize multiple major upstream providers to ensure continuous Internet connectivity, greater route diversity, and ultimately, enhanced Internet performance. This strategic combination allows customer traffic to be routed over the best available connections.

Cirrus Tech Ltd. is benefiting from various internet bandwidth and connectivity providers. Our major provider is at the moment Cogent Co., a Tier one bandwidth provider.

Cogent’s end-to-end optical network consists of multiple metropolitan IP-over-WDM fiber rings located in Cogent’s major markets throughout the United States and Europe. Cogent currently has a presence in over 85 markets throughout North America and Europe. Cogent’s network provides each building or data center with up to 5 Gbit/s of dedicated bandwidth. Layer 3 edge routers in each building are connected to Cisco Layer 3 Terabit core routers over two diverse optical paths. These core routers are tied together via an international backbone network consisting of multiple 10 Gbit/s DWDM optical links. With a currently implemented capacity of 80 Gbit/s in the United States and 40 Gbit/s in Europe, Cogent’s international IP network is the largest in the world and is scalable to a total capacity of over one Terabit. (Source Cogentco.com)

Bandwidth Utilization: Cirrus Tech. Ltd.’s Network currently has plenty of excess capacity, even during peak hours. This allows us to accommodate even the largest spikes in traffic that are often associated with the most popular websites. We are always adding network connectivity and new routes in an effort to make sure content is delivered to your users as efficiently as possible. The low bandwidth utilization also allows for maximum uptime, even if one of our providers has an outage. This is just another reason to outsource your dedicated server to Cirrus Tech. Ltd.

Network and Data Center:

Cirrus Tech. Ltd. employs 2 Data Centers for its web hosting and hosted exchange operations. Our primary Data Center is located at 151 Front St. in Downtown Toronto, and a secondary data center is located in central Toronto.

Cirrus Tech. Ltd. is taking advantage of industry leading local fiber optics networks which offer virtually unlimited data transfer capacity with the lowest latency. This has enabled us to connect to Tier 1 internet bandwidth providers on the same infrastructure. The whole network is being monitored by 24×7 on site engineers and in case of connectivity failures backup loops will deliver the data seamlessly.

Our Data Centers are protected by uninterruptible backup batteries and industry standard diesel generators which will provide required power for about 7-10 days in case of disasters.

A Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) connection is a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) service offered by many Internet telephony service providers (ITSPs) that connects a company’s private branch exchange (PBX) telephone system to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) via the Internet.

Using a SIP connection may simplify administration for the organization as the SIP connection typically uses the same Internet access that is used for data. This often removes the need to install Basic Rate Interface (BRI) or Primary Rate Interface (PRI) telephone circuits. (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SIP_connection)

All 3 packages cover all destinations (A-Z) , and they provide multiple failovers for each route. The difference between the packages is the number of failovers for each route and the quality of the failover routes. This means that the premium package will provide more failovers then the silver package, and it will include more expensive and higher quality routes. The best way to decide which package is best for you is to try them and see which one addresses your needs.

Customers with large call volume can sign up to all packages and route some of their traffic through our silver package , some of it through our gold package and the rest through the premium package.
